The Resident Representative of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Ghana, Mr Baba Gana Wakil, has encouraged Ghana to be ready at all occasions to “hinder any incursions” from neighboring countries in the wake of fear monger threat alert on the country.
Mr Wakil noticed that Ghana “is a splendid spot” in the sub-district for fear monger exercises given that its surrounding neighbors including Burkina Faso, Togo and Cote d’Ivoire have all been invaded by terrorists.
He offered the comments in an interview with the Daily Graphic when he drove a delegation to present Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM) gear to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) at the Burma Camp in Accra last Monday.
Mr Wakil recognized Ghana for managing to keep terrorists at bay over the period in spite of being surrounded by countries with “high psychological oppressor exercises.”
He asked the nation to “continue doing what it has consistently been doing” to secure its limits against fear based oppressor invasion.
